Early proof that not all RPGs need fantasy settings, EarthBound is one of the best turn-based RPGs of the 16-bit era and takes place in a town that feels like it could be anywhere in middle America. ![]() Ogre Battle: The March of the Black QueenÄragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly BrideÄ®arthBound is a weird, wonderful game about four kids who save the world. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars ).Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King So.to sum up jaggerwild, I'm probably the last guy you should be asking about titles! :). I attempted to play Singularity, Homefront, and Dishonoured over the last month or two only to have to stop because of nausea &/or dizziness. Not to mention.with my health the way it is.I haven't been able to game as much as I'd like. Sadly.that's usually the case 9 out of 10 times. If the 3rd person perspective breaks game immersion.then the title isn't for me. I can go on and on.I actually have a long list of pet peeves with 3rd person gaming, but I can sum it up succinctly. The camera doesn't pan correctly etc etc. Batman Arkham Asylum is a game that is done properly, most games are not so they leave me with a constant claustrophobic feeling that I'm not seeing enough of what's going in the world, or the character is too small AND feels too far away in the screen. Why don't I like the 3rd person perspective? I actually do like it, when it's done correctly, but that's rather rare. Although.I do play games like Fallout/Skyrim that allow you to play in first or third person, but that's about it really. Traditionally.I've never liked to purchase or support companies that develop games only in 3rd person. In the past, I've avoided the Tom Clancy type games(Splinter Cell is coming to mind) because of the 3rd person perspective. ![]() I haven't played either of these titles and don't know anything about them.
